Ionglass R is a highly resistant, aesthetic, self-curing glass ionomer with adequate viscosity suitable for restorative work. It has excellent biocompatibility and low risk of postoperative sensitivity. It has an excellent marginal sealing in the cavity and inhibits the formation of cracks. It can be used in the ATR technique (atraumatic restorative treatment), in all classes of primary tooth restorations, temporary restorations in permanent teeth (classes I, II, III and IV), permanent restoration base, non-carious lesions and provisional cementation prosthetic parts. Ion glass R has good adhesion to enamel and dentin and retention is unnecessary.
